well said

read your post on SA about how trapezoid wrote this in like 24 hours - BADASS. the lyrics are very coherent and smooth, and also of course, pretty effin funny. great animation, great song.

nothing new...

good collaborations seem few and far between - and this one is right in the middle. aside from the silhouette and intro sequences, none of the animations were long enough or interesting enough to capture my attention. sprites kind of lip-synching (a lot of which was not well done) isn't really anything special. even the parts that were done well with sprites (like the on where mario jumped to get the star) seemed like remakes of flashes that i've seen a million times.

as far as the music goes - i love daft punk. but this song has been done a couple of times before. daft punk has a ton of great songs - "da funk" and "around the world" (along with countless others) could work great in a flash video, and they haven't already been used in them (at least not ones that i've seen). additionally the underoath music in the credits was not neccesary. i admit that i hate underoath with a firey passion (trendy as SHIT), but regardless it didn't fit in at all.

doesn't really succeed in being funny

burnt face man cartoons have always had their ups and downs, and this one is just more of the same. unfortunetly, since it is the 5th episode, it's also getting a little tiresome. the whole mediocrity theme was funny at first, but it's just not strong enough to really carry over. i think i'd be content not seeing another burnt face man, but im sure you could come up with something new and interesting if you tried.

also btw, that older milkman cartoon finally pushed me to get the richard d james album, and it's quite good.

not..that funny really

the scathing satire never quite cuts through right. just..never ends up being that funny. my thoughts during the whole thing were "yeh, i KNOW he said that..i don't care anymore"

also, about black repression and blah blah blah. i know it's more recent and that slavery was harsh and all. but if you compare the relatively short period of slavery to the numerous counts of attempted genocide of jews over the past few THOUSANDS years, it makes you wonder why it's ok for EVERYONE to make fun of jews. is it just because everyone in history gave them a personal ass fucking? nothing to do with this cartoon, just a thought.

good sense of humor

im always worried when i watch something that's supposed to be funny on NG. WAYY too many retarded ass video game jokes and predictable violence or sex related humor. you guys managed to actually make something that was funny - good job.

ps. i LOLed a little little on the repair man smashing.

why is this on front page?

the animations were very inconsistent (and not good at that). the complete lack of attention paid towards anything other than the chick in the video is very distracting. all the houses are solid colored blocks with a window or 2, the grass is a block of a green, and the sky is a block of blue. and the MAIN characters (aside from the girl) just looked bad.

the music was very disconnected and never felt right. the short clips had way too much silence in between them, and the sound effects in general also lacked much attention.

from reading other reviews i see that other people found this funny, but i definately did not. it was TERRIBLY predictable. you saw every joke coming from a mile away...it was like a bad episode of looney toons from 1985 or something.

if you aren't 15 and/or don't find a 5 second lesbian implication to be ingenius, chances are you won't like this too much. if not, please stop voting on NG shit altogether. there are a ton of better clips that have a much lower rating than this.

wow this isn't funny at all

didn't crack a smile...nothing in here was remotely funny. this is like a collection of every bad joke ever seen on a sitcom...except with worse actors.

animation was sub par, voice acting and quality was bad, and the jokes weren't the least bit funny. first one was better.

badass!

very professional work here - solid dialog and great animation. the simple-shape-oriented art style worked amazingly well, and the fucked up vader had me laughing out loud. also, the action scene was incredibly well executed - one of the best flash animated action sequences i've ever seen.

the only quarrel i have with the animation as a whole was the lack of music overall. it definately could've been added to give the finishing touches to a few scenes here and there. although, sparse use of music is a lot better than overusing bad music (thank you for not putting click-click-boom in the action sequence).

i admit i was a bit worried when the star wars logo drifted into the background (if i see another scrolling text into parody again i swear to god im just gonna start finding these people and pissing in their throats), but you pulled this off incredibly way. great job!

improvement over the last paper flash

definately a good bit better than "roof tiling," i thought. it just seemed to flow better and draw you in a lot more. much like salad fingers this flash does am absolutely brilliant job of pulling you into some bizarre world where nothing makes sense, but at the same time you can still connect with parts of it for some reason. not even neccesarily specific characters, but just the way things flow.

also, as usual, great voice acting and script.

...wow

crazy animation! lots of style and straightup raw talent right there. the story was played out perfectly - great sense of timing and camera focus. overall great job! unquestionably deserves it's high score.
