what the hell did i just watch?

there are so many things wrong with this...primarily the fact that it wasn't funny. how does crap like this get on the front page? it's just terribly voice-acted, poorly executed recycled jokes. do everyone a favor - don't try to make humorous flashes anymore unless you clearly state that it's for 5 year olds. i'd really like to not waste time watching stuff like this.

Aerdail responds:

Then don't watch animations that I submit, easy as that. Now have a nice day and go do mature and intellectual activities

this would be great if it were funny

all the animations and graphics were really well done. a big improvement over the last decline. the half-assed storyline with the family guy flashbacks does actually work well for a basis for a funny animation.

unfortunetly, this isn't funny. i cannot understand how this is in the top 50. i didn't laugh one single time. i like video games, i like random humor...this isn't funny! im guessing not many people will agree with me, but im not sure why. maybe it's because i don't play video games all the time like i used to? i don't know. i found everything in this RIDICOUSLY predictable. haha samus is gonna lose her powerups because she does everygame it's FUNNYCUZIT'STRUE! not always - not if you don't tell it right.

this might be funny for 14 year olds whose lives revolve ENTIRELY around video games and are dumb enough to not see any of this coming, but this was a complete waste of my time.

The-Super-Flash-Bros responds:

(thats pretty much what we're going for!)

informative but hard to sit through

the flash was, as most other people have mentioned, very informative. the info you gave was relevant and unknown to most people, which is always great to hear about.

however, the presentation was lacking. the overall structure was organized in a fairly straightforward chronological manner, but it seemed to skip around a little bit. what bothered me most however, was the sound. not only was the quality bad, but the narration was hard to sit through. it sounded like the narrator was trying to sound like he had a deep, "intelligent" sounding voice, and it became very uneven at parts. additionally, the interjections made by the cartoon character were simply annoying, seldomly funny. you can be entertaining and informative at the same time without having to throw simple humor in every 5 lines - information ITSELF can be interesting and humorous. especially when dealing with animation and cartoons. throw in more random facts about the people you're doing that might be funny rather than your cartoon guy going "BORING! what's NEXT??"

the art YOU made was decent and fit in well. although, imo, gradient backgrounds look kind of cheesy when used in excess.

cyberen responds:

Yes, all valid points, in future cartoons I'll be sure to write it in more than a day's time.

well drawn, kind of weird...

all the characters were well drawn, definately a good deal of talent in that area. the voice acting was alright, but the voice quality (mostly sound level) wasn't good, and the voices were a little annoying.

the joke didn't make any sense. it just wasn't funny..the triforce meaning gay pride didn't really come from anywhere, and was just kind of strangely interjected. i like that random Aqua Teen Hunger Force humor, but...this just wasn't pulled off right.

nalem responds:

What do you mean? She admitted she was in love with a girl. The symbol for gay pride is a triangle, just like the Triforce is made of 3 triangles. It's merely a joke on the shape.

kicked ass!

very profesionally put together. the voice acting/sound quality was great and added a lot to the animation. also, the song at the end was funny as hell.

funny, well draw, well scripted, well thought out, and very original.

EdibleCastle responds:

originality, thats what i hunger for. well at least for lunch anyway.

badass!

funny and slick. i found this very entertaining. great choice of music by the way - subtle, but fits it perfectly. this flash has an amazing sense of style, and has the artistic support to make it work. this is so much funnier than all of those retarded game parodies everyone makes that aren't..funny at all. love to see people with artistic style! good work.

t3h-m4tt responds:

Thanks - I feel kind of bad, because each of the three songs I put in there were really good, but due to filesize and time issues, I couldn't use more than about a ten second loop of each. Oh well.

meh

very stylish and smooth. the animations were well done, and the flash pretty much gets straight to the point. unfortunetly this idea of robots and emotions has been done countless times before - on newgrounds and in thousands of other stories and movies. you can always show a new angle on an idea, but this flash definately did not do that. i didn't feel the least bit intrigued or englightened. it ultimately ends up feeling, like your robot, a bit empty.

BlackmarketKraig responds:

Yeah, this is a pretty common complaint about my movie: that it is rather old hat.

Anyway, unlike many other reviewers who have pointed this shortcoming out, I think your review stands as someone who actually put some thought into reviewing it and made some helpful criticism.

Thanks for reviewing.

not bad

great animation, cool storyline. im not sure it was necessary to put the "be happy" everywhere, as it's kind of a weird focus and overall message. im aware it's used to aggravate the frustration and all, but it just seems oddly placed. don't really know how to explain what i mean obviously, just think it would've been better to have a message that had a slightly different focus.

anyways, it was very interesting to watch. keep up the good work!

Quimera responds:

5-7: it was necessary...
Creamy_T: BUT...
5-7: NOTHIING, IT WAS NECESARRY..
Creamy_T: Of course not!!
5-7: Shut the fuck up...its my fuckin' flash!
Creamy_T: oh. True.
5-7: Check mate.

why is this rated high?

the animation was ugly, the story was cheesy and has been done about 10 thousand times before, and that music is terrible.

AligatorHead responds:

its not even rated hi, and it hasnt been done 10 thousand times, not even 10 times. well, "THERE SHE IS" can be similar. but i haven tseen any fighting or anything.

good work

overall good dialog and random gags and whatnot (although the orchestra thing has been done a few times before...). i'd recommend getting other voice actors. even though every characters sounded different, they all had the same almost-monotone personality to their voices. if you had more personality in the voices i think it would make this flash 10 times as good.

nice work anyways though, very entertaining.

SecretAgentRege responds:

Thanks for the review. I had voice acted the entire thing for timing. I ended up cleaning up most of it. I did have a different voice for Number Two (DeanKind from NewGrounds) however, our communication got messed up and I had to release it without a few things I needed to be redone and ended up just laying down the voice myself (I felt bad, and DeanKind is in my special thanks, as well as the voice for Numebr Two in the Mathman Deleted Scene).

I will work on my voice-personality for the next one! Thanks again.
